SwingNotes (“the app”) is developed by Takumi Iwasaki, an individual developer. This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: the app does not collect any data, and the developer never receives your information.
Everything you enter in the app stays on your device:
The app has no account and no sign-in, and it does not send this data to the developer or to any server run by the developer.
The app does not include analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking tools, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
When you save a link, the app connects directly to that website to get its title and image for the preview. As when you visit any website, that site can see your IP address and basic request information. This connection does not go through the developer. Links you open are shown in Safari.
When you share a link or text to SwingNotes from another app, it is passed to the app on your device and saved as a note. It is not sent anywhere else.
You can export a backup file from Settings. The file is created on your device, and you choose where to save or send it. If your iPhone is backed up to iCloud or a computer, the app’s data may be included in that device backup, which is handled by Apple under your device settings.
You can delete all data at any time from Settings > Data > Clear All Data, or by deleting the app. Because the developer holds no copy of your data, it cannot be recovered afterward unless you kept a backup.
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
